Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights. It complies with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for people in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data we collect and why

• Orders and delivery: name, shipping address, email, phone number, order contents. Purpose: to process, ship and track your order, handle returns and customer service. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
• Payment: your card details are entered directly with Stripe; we only receive the payment confirmation, the amount and billing details. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
• Accounting and tax obligations: keeping sales records. Legal basis: legal obligation.
• Correspondence: the content of your emails. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your requests.
• Website operation: the host's technical logs (IP address, date, page visited), kept for security purposes. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Recipients

• Stripe (payments) — Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. and Stripe, Inc.;
• our logistics partners (order fulfilment and shipping): the name, address, phone number and email needed for delivery, also shared with the carrier;
• Infomaniak Network SA (website hosting, in Switzerland);
• Google (Google Fonts): your browser loads the fonts from Google's servers, which receive your IP address in the process.

Some recipients are located outside Switzerland and the European Union (notably in the United States). These transfers are necessary to fulfil your order or are covered by appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses, recognised data protection frameworks).

How long we keep data

• order data: for the duration of our business relationship, then 10 years for accounting records;
• customer service emails: 3 years after the last exchange;
• technical logs: 12 months at most.

Cookies and local storage

This website uses no advertising cookies and no analytics tools. Your cart is stored only in your browser (local storage) so it isn't lost when you change pages; it is cleared after you order. During checkout, Stripe may set cookies that are strictly necessary for security and fraud prevention.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive your data in a portable format, by emailing contact@hohopyjama.com. We reply within 30 days.

You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the European Union, the data protection authority of your country of residence. US residents may also have rights under the privacy laws of their state.

Security

The website is only available over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to order data is limited to the people who need it.
